Han Gets a Blowgun

The party concluded their discussion with Marasennah and tentatively committed to a tight schedule for completing the first draft of the book. They agreed to submit an outline in six months. Marasennah provided the duo with a letter granting them passage back into the kingdom.

Before leaving, they were instructed to inform Drago when they were departing so he could monitor their travels. Back in their room, the party called Patty and asked her to fetch Cosovo. While waiting, they closed the curtains due to the unusually large number of bats outside, anticipating potential trouble.

After arranging payment and rescuing Tektun from Lady Tammy, the party and their cart were teleported back to The Overwatch Inn to avoid potential ambushes. Upon their return, they discovered signs of an assault on the inn. Molly was held at knife-point by Ruth, who asked them to prove their identity, and Molly successfully did so.

In an attempt to find a way out of Raven Rock, Molly used their torture implements to burn Novulu’s symbol into their leg and attempted to negotiate with the god. However, the negotiation did not go as well as Molly had hoped. A knock at the door raised suspicions, but Dean prevented potential guests from entering. While discussing plans, Molly proposed contacting Drago to relieve some pressure, and Felicity stressed the importance of doing so quickly.

Molly wrote to Drago, who appeared and suggested apologizing to Adrastante or considering a dangerous route to the east. Felicity proposed sending Ruth and the Samsarans east while Molly and herself apologized to Adrastante. Drago asked for a liter of blood to protect The Overwatch Inn, and Molly agreed. The Samsarans were armed, given a Scroll of Invisibility Sphere, and sent east, while the duo prepared to meet Adrastante.

Drago provided the party with sips of tea offering the benefits of Augury. The party reinforced their desire to apologize to Adrastante. Before departing, Felicity gifted Dean the Orb of Heaven as a token of gratitude.

The party approached Adrastante, managed to talk him down from his rage, and reached an agreement. Adrastante made a deal with Molly to teleport them near Revia and protect the Samsaran troupe in his lands, in exchange for a liter of blood from Molly and Felicity.

Suddenly in the desert, the party celebrated their freedom from Raven Rock and headed to the northern river for passage along the coast toward Corkis Lake. As they approached, they noticed a shimmer in the distance. Although Molly and Felicity couldn’t identify the movement, Tektun recognized it as The Ruby Renegade, Felicity’s stolen ship, now with intensely red sails.

A combination of threats from Felicity and coins from Molly persuaded the party to let them onboard to pursue the Ruby Renegade, including altering their route at the river-meeting-point to follow the stolen ship.

The party leveled up! Felicity gained a mythic tier!
