Casual Graverobbery

Year, Season, Month, Days: 5990 F.Y. Frinle, Novulu 2

Molly spent some time on the toilet and heard a “tink”, looked within the chamberpot, and saw a moonstone within its depths. Molly did not retrieve it. Tektun made Molly a constipation cure which worked exceedingly quickly as Molly finished making breakfast.

The party set out for the home of Count Adrastante Morcorath, but realized partway through they did not know exactly where they were going and decided to speak to one of the vampires that appeared to be a survivor of one of the colosseums. Felicity managed to convince the vampire that she was a vampire, and pulled out the name Isina as a sire, which was a vampire of notable repute to Felicity’s surprise.

Tektun used the party to attempt to fix a portion of the vampire’s gouged-out brain and seemed to do decently in doing so.

The party set out and realized Ruth was not present nor was Han, as Molly had neglected the fact it was “her day to watch [them]”. They doubled back and found evidence of a struggle, as well as Samsaran blood.

Tracking the trail, the party found a run-down building. After exploring the front, Felicity went to the back of the building and found 50-60 graves of varying freshness, some of which had body parts sticking out of the ground, at least one of which was twitching due to the recentness of their death.

The trio, counting Tektun, entered the building and found fresh human blood heading up the stairs and oversized fresh muddy footprints back and forth through the back door. Molly followed the blood upstairs and found a significant amount of demonic occult symbols and ritualistic sights, which stood out as odd in vampire country; she also collected every bit of money she could find.

Felicity stayed on the base floor and found a significant amount of equipment that was raided from corpses and likely the graves as well before heading upstairs to join Molly. The party found an office with a mithril dagger hidden in the bottom of a desk with a chair overlooking a mausoleum at the back of the yard, the door of which closed as the party observed it.

Deciding to investigate, Molly went to the mausoleum while Felicity partially exhumed the body she discovered and found they were buried alive rather quickly. Molly found the mausoleum to be barred from the inside and used Mage Hand to move the bar and open the door.

Discovering Samsaran blood handprints, the party investigated further and found Han facedown on a table while and unconscious Ruth and other Samsaran’s were chained to the wall. Fresh graves were in front of them. Felicity lept forward to flip Han over; he revealed the party was in danger of Gravebound, undead creatures known for burying creatures alive.

While Felicity released Ruth, Molly set a delayed bomb. Upstairs, the sound of the stone door opening and closing alerted the party to hide, but not before promising Han a blowgun.

The party managed to slay four Gravebound without being buried alive. After freeing the Samsarans and placing their sleeping forms into the cart as well as finding all of their journals. The party dug up the buried Samsarans and removed the journals to return to Corkis Lake. In an attempt to prevent more Gravebound from being borne, the party dug up every grave they could see in the range over the course of several hours and also grabbed everything of value off the corpses.

The Poisoned Claw took up hiding within the house to wait for the resident to return. A woman carrying groceries entered the home, much to the dismay of the group. Shortly after, she dropped the groceries and revealed herself to be a moroi vampire. While the vampire made her way through the home to the mausoleum, Molly took the opportunity to stab her with one of her stakes.

The vampire fought valiantly but they were ganked beyond recognition by the ruthless duo who smiled down at her smoking corpse/ashes.

The party leveled up!
